Connery turned in the highest actual 205 day weight, which
adjusted to the 3rd highest in the offering, giving him the #3
WR, followed up by the 3rd best actual YW. He also turned in
top notch carcass scans. It’s not surprising that the performance
is all there when you look at the pedigree. His dam is from
the great Nexa cow family and has an MPPA of 106 and she
is backed up by a solid maternal pedigree of MPPA’s ranging
from 101 up to 108 going back over 20 years. There is a ton of
length and above average thickness all wrapped in a beauti-
ful cherry red hide. Half of the EPDs are in the top 10% of the
breed or higher. No holes here.

There is a lot that this Declaration son brings to the table.
Maverick was born a single but ended up having to be grafted
to a new mama so you won’t see any ratios. He overcame much
diversity and turned in the 2nd highest adjusted 205 day weight
of any bull born of a bred heifer and went on to turn in a well
above average YW. His genetic dam would have been one to
watch, with both her dam and grandam posting 105 MPPA’s.
His number profi le is top notch with almost half of the EPDs
in single digit percentiles – wow! His YW, ADG and MILK are
all in the very top of the offering. He has great thickness and is
structurally correct.
